Espresso Shots Coming To Dunkin’ Donuts In South Florida
If you have never been to Miami then you have never truly experienced the power of a good coffee. Cafecitos are everything in the 305 and can be drunk at any time in the day, but the late afternoon is considered peak time for the Cuban coffee lift-me-up. Looking to capitalize on the Mami culture, Dunkin’ Donuts is rolling a so-called secret menu that will specifically cater to cafecito time.
From April 29 through May 28 from 3-5 p.m., every Dunkin’ Donuts store in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties will be offering espresso shots for 49 cents. The donut chain is calling it Dunkencito Time, a play on Miami’s cafecito time.
The Dunkencito is part of Dunkin’ promotion of its new espresso machines, which promise a better cafecito experience, by extracting more bold flavors from the dark-roasted beans.
But because the Dunkencito is on a secret-menu, customers will not be able to find Dunkencito Time on the regular menu, nor will there be signs to remind you of the available option on the chain’s two-hour window. Because Dunkencito Time is a “secret offering,” customers that want to get in on the deal will simply need to mention the offer at the register.
