“Riverdale” Cast Mourns The Loss Of Luke Perry
In early March, the hit CW show “Riverdale” lost their beloved cast member Luke Perry. Perry was in critical condition after having a stroke and later died at the age of 52.
The moment “Riverdale” star have been dreading is coming soon, the airing of the final episode with Luke Perry. The episode will be airing less than two months after his death.
“This week’s #Riverdale is the last episode Luke filmed,” wrote showrunner and executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. “As always, Fred’s imparting words of wisdom to Archie. A beautiful, true moment between a father and his son. Wish these scenes could go on forever.”
Currently, in its fourth season, Riverdale has not yet announced how they’ll address Perry’s death on the show.
“Riverdale” co-star Cole Sprouse plays Jughead Jones on the show and revealed on “The View” in mid-March that the show planned to bring an end to Perry’s character.
“I can’t go too much into the spoilers of it, but we do have something planned narratively,” Sprouse said at the time. “We’ve dedicated some of the episodes to him.”
The screenwriter behind “Riverdale,” Aguirre-Sacasa said on Instagram that all future episodes will be dedicated to Perry.
